Renewing the Office-IT vehicle fleet: a step towards sustainability

“For our solutions, it is important that we always look for the newest technologies and the best offerings.
The same applies to our vehicle fleet: we strive for innovation and choose green technology,” says Eric Liekens, CEO of Office-IT. “Normally, we renew our company cars every five years, but due to the pandemic and long delivery times, that was not always possible. We are therefore delighted that we were finally able to receive the new cars last Friday.”

Earlier this year, Office-IT already added two Volkswagen ID3s and a Skoda Enyaq to the fleet. Later this autumn, an additional Skoda Enyaq and a BMW X1 are expected to join. “With all these efforts, we are taking a major step in making our fleet more sustainable,” Liekens adds.

The cars were delivered by Garage Hermans in Herentals, whose slogan “We sell a piece of trust and together we look for the mobility solution that suits you best” fits perfectly with the mission of Office-IT. The vehicles were subtly branded by Publio in Wijnegem. Ben Vreysen and Olivier Vandebosch, Support Engineers at Office-IT, are enthusiastic about their new car:
“A very comfortable car with lots of options. The advantages of a traditional engine combined with electric driving.
Thanks to the hybrid technology, we drive electrically to our customers but can also continue further without limitations.”

With the further greening of the fleet, additional charging stations are needed. Two new charging stations will be installed next week in Olen.

“At Office-IT, we do everything we can to contribute to a more sustainable future, and we will continue to make the necessary efforts,” concludes Liekens.
