The WatchGuard Advanced Persistent Threat Blocker is an innovative sandbox solution for advanced malware that goes far beyond traditional antivirus.
APT Blocker inspects files entering the network and isolates suspicious files in a sandbox, where the code inside the file is analyzed to determine the threat level. This approach ensures that even malware specifically designed to bypass UTM security can still be detected.
APT integrates with the WatchGuard Cloud and Dimension tool, showing all APTs in a single overview. With WatchGuard APT Blocker, cryptolockers (e.g. WannaCry) are accurately detected and blocked.
This security feature is included in the Total Security Suite from WatchGuard. This suite contains all services offered in the Basic Security Suite, plus advanced malware protection, data loss prevention, enhanced network visibility, a secure access portal, and the ability to take action against threats from WG Cloud & Dimension.
