NSI relies on Office-IT for flexible IT solutions and security

Founded in 1988 and based in Bilzen, NSI develops high-quality, dust- and waterproof keyboards for heavy industrial applications. Their customers span multiple sectors, with their key markets being the maritime industry and mechanical engineering. With more than 95% of their products destined for export, NSI is internationally active, with sales markets in Germany, Norway, Japan, Korea, and beyond. Together with their sister company Cursor Controls in England, NSI has been part of DiscoverIE since 2018, an international group specialised in electronic manufacturing companies.

As an internationally oriented company without an internal IT department, a reliable and proactive IT partner is vital for NSI. Office-IT supports them with flexible IT solutions focused on security, continuity, and scalability. Thanks to this partnership, NSI can fully concentrate on innovation and their core business, while Office-IT ensures a stable and secure IT infrastructure. (video in Dutch)

Trusting the right partner is the key to successful IT management. But equally important are tailored solutions, a vision for the future, and investing in a long-term relationship. That Office-IT delivers on all these aspects is proven by our success stories.

A trusted partnership since 1998

The collaboration between NSI and Office-IT began back in 1998, when NSI implemented their ERP system Briljant. During that time, Koen Dubois was their dedicated contact person. When Koen moved to Office-IT in the early 2000s, NSI chose to follow him, ensuring continuity. Since then, Office-IT has consistently provided the same high-quality support.

Today, Joeri Vael is NSI’s dedicated contact at Office-IT. Together with the team, he ensures quick and clear support through an efficient ticketing system. This keeps communication transparent and requests handled smoothly. This long-term relationship provides NSI with the reliability and flexibility that are essential for their growth.

Migration to the cloud for flexibility and security

In line with their international expansion and growing security needs, NSI made the move to cloud hosting – although initially, they were hesitant. Their concerns about no longer physically managing their server turned out to be unfounded. Looking back, NSI is glad they chose to move their server to the cloud, as it has improved both security and flexibility. This decision was also influenced by their listed parent company DiscoverIE, which values a secure, globally accessible IT environment with continuous monitoring.

Thanks to Office-IT, NSI’s employees worldwide can access company data simply and securely – a necessity for their international workforce. The transition to the cloud went smoothly. The migration was scheduled over a weekend, enabling the NSI team to start working immediately on Monday morning without any downtime.

Secure IT infrastructure without worries

Since migrating to the cloud, NSI has not only gained flexible data access but also significantly reduced their cybersecurity concerns. Office-IT provides extensive security measures and regularly shares updates and reports on IT performance and security status. For NSI, without an internal IT department, this IT peace of mind is indispensable in their daily operations.
